THE FILM
In 2017, writer, producer, director Alexander Freeman who is known for his heartwarming, honest and romantic 2013 documentary The Last Taboo had just released his intense and powerful documentary, The Wounds We Cannot See. In May 2018, Freeman and his fellow producer, Brandon Golden met with Freeman's friend and mentor Kevin Bright, executive producer of "Friends." Bright gave Freeman and Golden the suggestion for the film's title and a loose story concept. They ran with it and Indomitable was born.
Indomitable is the story of five participants with disabilities in six cities in America who captured their lives from their perspective on camera for three months exploring employment, relationships, sex, parenting, housing, and independent living while addressing personal struggles and the impact the government, as well as the health care system, has on their lives while showing resilience.
